Privacy Policy

1. Summary
This Policy describes how GMC Optimizer ("the App") handles information. It covers the App distributed through the Microsoft Store and this website.
GMC Optimizer collects no data. It sends no information to the developer's servers, installs no service, does not keep running in the background, and has no telemetry or analytics.
2. Information the App does not collect
- Name, email, address or any data that identifies you
- The contents of personal files
- Web browsing history or data
- Geographic location
- Data from other installed applications
- Usage statistics, which features were run or how often
- Automatic crash reports sent to the developer
3. Local processing
All system readings, registry tweaks, optimization routines and diagnostics run locally, on your machine.
Live processor, memory, disk and network readings use native Windows APIs. Optimization routines run through PowerShell scripts shipped inside the App package. Registry tweaks are applied from .reg files that also ship inside the package.
Scan results, the change history and your language and theme preferences are stored only in the App's local storage, on your computer, and can be cleared by you from within the App or by removing the App.
4. Internet access
The App declares internet access capability in its package for the following reasons, and only for these:
- Opening the App's Microsoft Store page in your browser when you use the check for updates option
- Opening these Terms and this Policy in your browser
- Connectivity tests in the Wi-Fi diagnostics tool, when you run it, which check whether the gateway and the internet are reachable
None of these operations send data about you or about your machine to the developer.
5. Microsoft Store
Installation, licence verification and updates are handled by the Microsoft Store. Microsoft collects and processes its own acquisition and usage data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement, which is independent of this Policy.
In Microsoft's publishing dashboard, the developer has access only to aggregated, anonymous reports, such as the number of page views and installs. Those reports do not identify individual users.
6. This website
This website is static and uses no cookies, analytics, tracking pixels or forms. No resource is loaded from third-party servers: fonts, icons and images are served by the site itself.
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may log technical access data such as IP addresses, under GitHub's own privacy policy.
7. Children
The App is a technical system configuration tool, is not directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Your rights
Because the App neither collects nor stores personal data on servers, there is no personal data under the developer's control to be accessed, corrected, ported or deleted.
Data written locally by the App stays under your control and can be removed by you at any time.
This Policy is written in line with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law 13.709/2018) and the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
9. Changes to this Policy
This Policy may be revised when the App's behaviour changes. The date at the top of this page indicates the last revision. Relevant changes will also be reflected in the release notes published on the Microsoft Store.
