1. Acceptance of these Terms

By installing or using GMC Optimizer ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of them, do not use the App.

The App presents these Terms on first launch and asks for acceptance before unlocking its features.

2. What the App is

GMC Optimizer is a free Windows utility that applies system configuration tweaks, runs optimization routines, and presents readings and diagnostics that Windows itself provides.

It does

  • Apply and revert 72 Windows registry tweaks, grouped by category
  • Run six script optimization routines which, together with the Windows tweaks and the FPS Configs, add up to more than 100 ready-made optimizations: operating system, network connection, mouse and keyboard, processor, graphics card and memory
  • Apply three registry settings aimed at input latency in games, called FPS Configs
  • Show processor, memory, disk and network readings, read through native Windows APIs
  • Run the Health Analysis, which reads the event log, services, component state and the Windows stability index
  • Bundle diagnostic tools: SFC, DISM, disk health, temperature, startup programs, registry analysis and Wi-Fi diagnostics

It does not

  • It does not clear temporary files and does not defragment disks
  • It does not remove viruses and is not a replacement for antivirus software
  • It does not speed up your internet connection
  • It promises no FPS percentage and no performance multiplier, because it does not measure those
  • It installs no service, does not keep running in the background and collects no data

3. Requirements and permissions

The App requires Windows 10 version 17763 (1809) or later, 64-bit, and is distributed exclusively through the Microsoft Store as a signed package.

The App does not run as Administrator at launch. When a specific action needs elevation, Windows itself asks for confirmation at that moment, and the corresponding item carries the Admin badge before it is triggered.

4. Risks and your responsibility

The App changes operating system settings. Some changes only take effect after a restart, and configuration changes can affect the behaviour of Windows and of installed programs.

Before applying optimizations, we recommend creating a Windows restore point. The App offers to create one and verifies that it was actually created before reporting success. Not every change is reversible by the App: power plans, network tweaks applied through netsh and cache flushes are not undone by it, and for those cases the restore point is the way back.

You agree to

  • Use the App only for legitimate purposes and on machines under your responsibility
  • Read the description of each tweak before applying it
  • Create a restore point before applying optimizations
  • Not modify, redistribute or reverse engineer the App without authorisation

5. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "AS IS", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation or freedom from errors.

You use the App at your own risk.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not liable for direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the App, including data loss, loss of performance or the need to reinstall the operating system.

7. Intellectual property

The App, its code, its interface, its brand and its materials are owned by Gabriel Correa GMC and protected by copyright law. No intellectual property rights are transferred by using the App.

8. Updates and availability

Updates are distributed through the Microsoft Store. The developer may change, suspend or discontinue the App, in whole or in part, at any time.

These Terms may be revised. The date at the top of this page indicates the last revision, and continued use of the App after a revision means acceptance of the version in force.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, and the competent forum is that of the user's domicile where consumer legislation applies.
